Alan Hill is a London-based photographer.

His work is observational: quiet, often wry pictures of people and the places they leave their mark on.

He has worked in production sound since 2000, most of it spent travelling the world on documentaries before moving across into feature films.

That background shows in the photographs: patience, an eye for the small moment, and a feel for how a place sounds as well as how it looks.

He holds a BA (Hons) in Film and Television from the Surrey Institute of Art and Design.
